A Movie Proposition for Shania
BETH RAE: Supporting Role. 4-5 day shoot in Alberta, Canada. Filming in the summer of 2025.
BETH RAE is a Type-A doer who operates on urgency and time she doesn't have. Sandwiched between supporting her daughter and her parents at the same time, while running the business she built from the ground up as a single mom, Beth is stretched thin. When her mother, Eulene, is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, it only makes matters worse. Despite her best efforts, everything Beth does to try and help her mom makes her out to be the villain from Eulene's perspective. In the end, Beth learns the difference between "taking care" of someone and "being there" for someone, which enables her to heal her relationships with her mother and daughter. She also rediscovers her long-lost love of music.
